Our Aim
“Absolute Town Planning aims to provide practical town planning advice on a range of projects and adapts what it does to meet a clients needs. From those that simply view planning permission as an occasional burden, to others that routinely present development proposals to the Town Hall, the aim is to consistently offer a high standard of service. From the outset clients are quite clear about exactly what is being provided with a focus on forming the right team with architects and other related disciplines towards common goals.”

About Ian Coomber
Ian is an experienced Town Planner with in excess of 30 years’ practice in the planning industry dealing with a wide range of projects in both the private and public sector. For a number of years managing a planning team in the town hall, and from 2007-17 successfully established a new planning consultancy service as part of a regional surveying practice.
This new venture is particularly exciting as being freelance creates far greater ability to work collaboratively across a range of teams. Beginning my career in 1985 my 30 plus years of experience, within a mix of public and private practice, means that clients can reasonably expect a detailed and practical explanation of how Town Planning actually works. I look forward to guiding new clients through the process descrambling all the myths and getting to a successful outcome.
